The “Behind the Development” story of the precious-metal-crucible-free crystal growth technology, the OCCC method, which received the Excellence Award at the 38th Small and Medium Enterprise Excellent New Technology Awards, has been featured in The Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun.
The OCCC method is a next-generation crystal growth technology that enables the melting of high-melting-point materials without using precious-metal crucibles such as iridium. By eliminating the need for such crucibles, the technology enables the production of low-cost, low-loss gallium oxide substrates.
